talent show

   IT was Friday  10th November 2021 witch means we had the talent show violet carys  Stella and i.

     we did the song everybody we all did it just for fun.

     

   the year before last year  violet and I did the talent show we came 1st place we were so happy.

   the reason why we did'int do the  talent show last year was because off covid 19.

  

  music performance.

 

  It was Thursday  9th November 2021 witch means it was the music performance we all went on the  court   to watch a big music performance and i was in it. it was my first time you only go on stage if you do music with  mike. I played sia cheap thrills and dont let me down. Stella did it with me she played piano for cheap thrills and singing for dont let me down. 

All saints day.

 kia ora today is November 1st.

                                         witch means its all saint day. So were making an acrostic poem.

My goal

                                             My Athletics Goal.

                    We are preparing for athletics and my goal long jump  because 

                     I have lots of fun doing it.

          

 Athletics day helps to get you fit and healthy. When you do athletics you should warm up 

and then drink some water.

Here are some things we do in  athletics:

Long jump high jump shot put running and discuss.

Now its Athletics and I came 3rd  for running. I had fun doing long jump 

you were aloud to take off your shoes and socks. So I did because we had to run and jump

into sand  so I did'int want sand on my socks or in my shoes.

amazing dog facts

At school in are reading groups we made a poster about dogs.

 AT NBC in room 5  we made cards. The cards can be  any shapes or sizes. The cards were creative and good.I liked everyone's cards in are class. 

facts about amazing polar bears.

 1. Polar bears  live in the arctic. 

2. polar bears have black skin although their fur appears              white it's actually just transparent.

3.polar bears are the largest meat eater on land.

4. polar bears spend most of their time at sea.

5. Polar bears have 42 teeth.

The adventure to ferry med

kia ora on Wednesday  we had an adventure to ferry mead but first we had to hop on the bus it was room 5 and 6 who went on the bus to ferry mead.Room 5 and 6 got put into groups we had parent help.

 Stella´s poppa Wayan came to help Carys,Stella and me were all together  in a group.After we got on the bus we meet a guy called Robert he tall d us what we will be doing.So we walked with Robert

and he told us to get into old in day clothes.The girls wore dresses the coolers were:blue, green,red I was in blue.Then we got into are activity's the activity my group started with was  called the kings bakery in the bakery there was a lady she took us to wash are hands

in warm,soppy water that was in a bowl.After we washed are hands the lady took us to the kitchen and gave us a little piece of doe.She told us to play with it over the long long table when we were finished playing with the doe she told us to make shapes with it  then when we were finished we went to the school the school teacher was called miss black she  showed us the straps they used on children then we went out of the school and to the wash house we did different jobs there like:washing,making beds,dusting and inning.

When we were finished at the wash house we went to the general store then we meet Robert again he pretended he was someone else  and took us into the general store   that was fun! Then we went back to school it was fun I loved it.

The Lorax

In reading room 5  have been focusing on the book  the Lorax by Dr Suess  and there is also a movie off the Lorax. The first task that I did was the card to the   ones - ler I tried to make it  how Dr Suess would say it. another task I did was an inside - out of the Lorax 

        

The message I got from the story was to look after are nature and to think about the animals that mite live in the lovely  nature we have.

I like to imagine what the truffula  tress feel like I think they feel smooth, soft and fluffy.

We also made truffula tress out of small pieces of paper and paper plates we also used Popsicle sticks we have a lot of fun activity's.

In room 5 we are learning to  be thankful for are body parts because  they  help do a lot of things.

 I like my hands so I can grab things.

 I also like my hands so I can hold my family's hands to show how much I love them.

that´s why I love my hands.

four parts of the mass

In room 5 we have been learning about the four parts of the mass witch are 1.concluding rites

2.liturgy of the word 3.liturgy of the Eucharist 4.concluding rites. those are the four parts of the mass.

    In class we read a book called  Mophead in the story a girl  learnt to be herself

The run of my year

At NBC the hole school did cross country. Cross country is were the hole school joins together out in the domain and each class does a big run room 5 and room 6 joined together for there run. Each class is  split into their own house colors the house colors are: Chanel-red Euphrasie-blue Pompallier-green Aquinas-yellow. Each class room

gets changed and puts on a pair  of black running shorts with a t-shirt

of the color of your house color.The year 4s ran 1 km Mackenzie came 1st I came 2nd and Violet came 3rd and after that I saw Stella she is an amazing friend. Then we watched the other races. After all the races. We went to are own classes and got in to are school uniform and went home.

the adventure learning about fire

Hi hello at school we went to are class hall to see the firefighters they talked about how danger's fire can be. there were 6 firefighters there. We  got to see the boss to. Most of them were volunteers my favorite part was when the 2 men said to lay  down then they would put the fire alarm on and the 2  men had a little blanket and had  to hold  the blanket low so we would go on are hands and knees  to get to the door I liked it because it was so fun to cruel under  the blanket . The firefighters saying was: get down get low get out fast!

             At NBC we have been learning to be kind,show respect,have gratitude and to seek excellence

             these are all called virtues. 

 

the shrinking rose and carys.

 Once upon a time there was a beautiful young girl who had beautiful smooth brown hair. Her name was Rose.

Then one day she  went to school but… she shrunk. 

She didn't know how she shrunk in the  first place. 

So she nearly got stepped on then she went to the door and Carys her best best friend shrunk to. She didn't no how she became little either.

So then a dog came into the class and his name was Bear there were two  more other dogs called Doogle

and gerkin luckily they were too small to be seen by the three dogs.

So they decided to  have some fun. They went into the kitchen and put two cups on the floor and flipped them the right way round the cups had water in them Rose had cold water and so did Carys because it was a hot day. So we got into are togs and… splash! they jumped in one cup each.then they saw that the fridge was open so then rose ate  some lemons and limes and grapes and strawberries and pineapple. Carys ate watermalen lemons and we both ate blueberries and lemony  water.

Then we heard someone coming.

So it was time to grow back somehow. Carys made something like a poiten and she put it on her and I.

Then we grew and it was time to go home.

Amazing international day.

  international cultural day. First we have to do a mihi whakatau to welcome the new  juniors into our school.

Next we have a parade to show what we've dressed as .

Later at 5.30 we are doing a play we will all  get dressed

Into our costume  but will get to go home to get into our costume.
